Welcome to the Indiana Alliance of Hazardous Materials Responders (IAHMR) web site! The Alliance was formerly organized on March 1, 2002 in cooperation with both public and industrial Hazardous Materials Responders within the state of Indiana for the purpose of enhancing communication and training for Responders. Please take a moment to explore our site and our organization and among other things we believe that you will find that we have "One Mission and One Goal", to enhance and support capabilities, communications and training among our membership.
Our Mission
The mission of the Indiana Alliance of Hazardous Materials Responders is to promote, support, protect and unify its membership. This organization commits itself to looking at the future with open eyes and a clear perspective on the needs of hazardous materials emergency responders and responding agencies. We actively promote, encourage and support cooperative efforts with industry to maintain public safety and the responsible handling of hazardous materials emergencies. In order to accomplish our mission this organization will at all times maintain its focus on providing its members with high quality training, a forum for open and honest communication and a support structure to assist both individuals and agencies in achieving their stated goals. It is with the greatest amount of pride that this organization dedicates itself to the preservation of life and the safe and effective handling of hazardous materials emergencies.
Company Profile
The leaders of our organization are elected by the membership and serve a two-year term. The board of directors consists of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 additional members of the organization at large.
